Note:

This is an error. Mr John Forbes who became Professor of Divinity at Aberdeen in 1620 was the second son of Bishop Patrick Forbes. He was followed in office by Andrew Strachan in 1634. Having succeeded to the family estate of his father in 1635, he took up the professorship again for a time until he was deposed in 1641. ^{1 2 6}

Sarah next married John QUIGLEY, son of Hugh QUIGLEY and Mary McCARDLE, on 26 Aug 1864 in Blythswood, Glasgow, Scotland.³ (John QUIGLEY was born in 1828 in Ireland ³ and died 31 October 1866 at 3.00 am in 8 Clifton Place, Glasgow, Scotland.). The cause of his death was disease of the liver and kidneys.
