General Notes:
According to the baptism narrative in the OPR the father of the child was James Leith 'fermer' in Robslaw. The child, William, was baptised by Mr Robert Burnet, and one of the witnesses was James Thom.
William may have died at an early age since another son by James Leith's third wife was named William in 1714.
William married Jean STRACHAN, daughter of William STRACHAN farmer in Robslaw and Marjorie LEITH.1 (Jean STRACHAN was christened on 26 Jun 1721 in Old Machar Parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland 2.)
