"He (Alexander Home) married, first, 9 January 1585-86, Christian, daughter of William Douglas of Lochleven, afterwards Earl of Morton, and widow of Lawrence, Master of Oliphant, who died in March 1584. She had a charter of the barony of Dunglas 29 November 1586. By her Lord Home had no issue."

"... she (Christian Douglas) was married, secondly, as his first wife, 9 January 1586 (contract 2 and 14 December 1585), to Alexander, first Earl of Home, from whom
she had a charter of the barony of Dunglas 18 July 1586. She was alive in August 1591, but was dead before 1607, when Lord Hume married again."
