Isabella married Matthew VALLELY, son of John VALLELY and Catherine FRIEL.1 (Matthew VALLELY was born on 1 May 1866 in Queensferry, West Lothian, Scotland 2.)

"John (Johnston) had, during the lifetime of his father, a charter of confirmation under the Great Seal, 'Joanni Johnstoun apparenti de eodem terrarum de Johnstoun in comitatu de Marr et Garrioch, et vicecomitatu de Aberdene,' dated 23d August 1587.

He married, first, Janet, daughter of Turing of Foveran, an ancient and respectable family in the shire of Aberdeen, by whom he had two sons and two daughters : 1st. George, his successor. 2d. 'John, of whom there is no succession.'

His daughters were: 1st. Elizabeth, married to Bannerman of Elsick. 2d. Jean, married to William Forbes of Knapernay, (descended of the family of Tolquhoun,) by whom she had a family.....

Dying about the year 1614, he was succeeded by his elder son by his first wife, Janet Turing, George Johnston of that Ilk."

Isabella next married William GORDON, son of Robert GORDON in Arndilly and Jean SIMPSON in Bogincur, on 14 Dec 1839 in Speymouth Parish, Moray, Scotland.2 (William GORDON was born on 31 Dec 1819 4, christened on 23 Jan 1820 in Rothes Parish, Moray, Scotland and died on 6 Apr 1847 4.)
