LYNAS, John 1
Cause of his death was phtisis pulmonalis. General Notes: The 1861 census for Glasgow recorded John Lynas as head of a household consisting of himself, his sister Bridget, and his brother Owen, along with Owen's two sons and two daughters, living at 94 Gallowgate in the Calton district. He was a labourer, aged 60 years and had been born in Ireland. Research Notes: 'Kilravey' parish may be Killeavy parish in County Armagh, as no Kilravey has been found. 4 Medical Notes: The informant of John's death was John McPherson, the clerk to the gpvernor of the poorhouse. John married Joseph McGONAGALL, son of Charles McGONAGALL and Margaret MAXWELL, on 27 Oct 1713 in Saint Nicholas Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland.5 (Joseph McGONAGALL was born about 1837 in Ireland 6 7.)
