The marriage was celebrated according to the forms of the Church of Scotland. The minister was James Allen of Greenhead Church. The witnesses were Agnes Allen and Margaret Ramsay.

Charles Logan was an unmarried man of 21 years of age who worked as a carter. His address was 30 Main Street Calton. His mother was deceased.

Rosan Quigley was also unmarried. She was aged 18 years and was a brushmaker. Her address was the same as her husband's. Her mother, too, was deceased.

Both the bride and groom made their X mark.

The marriage was registered on 22 May 1871 at Glasgow, Hugh Boyle being the registrar. 2
