"Robert (Lumsden), who married, in 1644, Agnes, daughter of John Leith of Bucharn, as the Leith Hall family was then styled (see Douglas's Baronage, Vol. II., p. 226), and had a large family. On a charter of his father's Robert has written the dates of his marriage and of the births of his children, as well as the fact that his sister-in-law, Margaret Leith, was married in 1648 (?) to Alexander Forbes, younger of Craigievar (?)"
