1881 Census:
Patrick and Margaret McGreechin were living at number 1 McInnes Land, Baillieston, Lanarkshire with their four children Jane, aged 23 years, Rose, aged 19 years, Joseph, aged 17 years, and Cathrine, aged 15 years, and a boarder John Waugh, a Irish born, retired farmer aged 52 years. The parents and the two older children had been born in Ireland. The two younger children were born in Baillieston. Patrick, a shoemaker, was 57 years old; his wife was 53 years old. All the children worked: Jane was a cloth lapper, Rose and Cathrine were cloth bleachers, and Joseph was an assistant grocer.

Patrick married Margaret BURNS, daughter of John BURNS and Margaret MORGAN, on 13 Jul 1849 in County Down, Ireland. (Margaret BURNS was born about 1828 in Ireland ⁴ and died on 26 Jan 1888.)

Patrick next married Margaret McGONEGAL, daughter of William McGUNNIGAL and Mary Ann McNAMEE, after 1547.¹ (Margaret McGONEGAL was born about 1870 in Dalziel, Lanarkshire, Scotland.)

"Alexander (Forbes of Pitsligo) succeeded his brother, and had a royal charter of the barony of Pitsligo and others 23 January 1579-80. He died before 10 October 1587. He married, after 1547, first, Alison, daughter of ------ Anderson, relict of Alexander Forbes of Tolquhoun, by whom he had a daughter :

Patrick next married William SMITH, son of Robert SMITH and Mary Ann DONALDSON, in 1584.² (William SMITH was born on 24 Feb 1908 ⁵, christened on 29 Feb 1908 in St Bridget's RC Church, Baillieston, Lanarkshire, Scotland ⁵ and died 5 October 1908 at 10.00 pm in 7 Main Street, Baillieston, Lanarkshire, Scotland.). The cause of his death was diarrhoea over 20 days.

"He (Alexander Forbes of Pitsligo) married, thirdly, in 1584, Margaret Mackintosh, daughter of William Mackintosh of that Ilk, relict of Duncan Grant, younger of Freuchie. She married, thirdly, Gordon of Abergeldie ; fourthly, William Sutherland of Duffus."
