According to the 1913 marriage certificate of his son Michael, Michael Duffy was a quay labourer by occupation. ³

Michael married Margaret McGORIAN. (Margaret McGORIAN was born about 1860.)

Michael next married Susan HARRIS, daughter of Edward HARRIS and Mary CAMPBELL.^{1 2} (Susan HARRIS was born about 1827 in Ireland ⁴ and died 16 May 1861 at 6.30 am in 12 Wellington Lane, Glasgow, Scotland ⁵.). The cause of her death was consumption over 5 years accelerated by child birth.
