The Church Marriage Record listed in the database of the Irish Family History Foundation records a marriage between Frederick Kane and Susan Caldwell as having taken place on 31 August 1854. The marriage was a civil marriage and no denominational affiliation was recorded for either party, only 'Registrar District' at one point. The venue was noted as Coleraine Registry Office, Co. Derry. Under 'Address' 'Advarness MacOsquin' was recorded for both bride and groom.

The status of each party being married was noted: 'Widower (male)' and 'Spinster (Previously unmarried). No age was entered for either one. The names of their fathers were Frederick Kane and John Caldwell. No names were entered for the mothers of the bride and groom. Frederick Kane was recorded as a farmer; John Caldwell was a labourer.

Occupations were noted for the bride and groom: Frederick Kane was a labourer and Susan Caldwell was a 'flowerer'.

Two witnesses were named. Witness 1 was recorded as James McGowan. Witness 2 was Nathaniel Young.
