  General Notes:

Alexander McKendrick, Catharine's father, was the informant of her birth. He put his name to the register of the birth, obviously with some difficulty, on 17 December 1856 before the registrar at Barr.

Kate McKendrick was present where her sister Ann's child, also Ann, was born at Mill Knowe Campbeltown. She gave notice of the birth at Campbeltown on 26 February 1879. ³

Catharine married Anne McKENDRICK, daughter of Alexander McKENDRICK and Ann McMILLAN.¹ (Anne McKENDRICK was born on 16 Sep 1847 ² and was christened on 29 Sep 1847 in Killean and Kilchenzie Parish, Argyll, Scotland.)
