  Marriage Notes:

"Duncan (Cumming) married a daughter of William Mackintosh of that ilk (chief of his clan), and died in the beginning of the reign of Robert III., leaving a son named Ferquhard, who married a daughter of the Earl of Mar."

Note:

If this identification of the wife of Ferquhard Cumming is correct, the imprecise dating makes it difficult to know who her father was. Thomas, Earl of Mar was dead by 1375, and the husband of Maegaret Countess of Mar who used the designation died in 1384. Theoretically it is possible, by dates, for her to have been a daughter, possibly outside marriage, of either.
