   Cause of her death was bronchitis over 10 days.⁴

   Other names for Fanny were McGONIGAL, Fanny,⁴ McGONIGAL, Frances ⁵ and McGUNIGAL, Fanny.⁶

  General Notes:

When Fanny died in 1883, her death certificate recorded her as the widow of Michael McGonigal, coal miner, and aged 54 years. Her parents were deceased. Rose Ann Donnelly, Fanny's daughter, who had been present where her mother's death occurred, and who made her X mark, gave notice of her mother's death on 3 February 1883 at Baillieston. ⁴

Fanny married Michael McGONNIGAL, son of Michael McGONAGLE and Rose DOHERTY. (Michael McGONNIGAL was born about 1815 ³ and died on 10 Feb 1875 in Brownbank, Baillieston, Lanarkshire, Scotland ³.). The cause of his death was injuries received at a coal pit, lived 4 hours.⁴

Fanny next married Margaret MADILL.^{1 2} (Margaret MADILL was born about 1853 in Glasgow or Cambusnethan, Lanarkshire, Scotland ⁷.)

  Marriage Notes:

"He (John Skene of that Ilk) married Jean, daughter of Alexander Burnet, eldest son and apparent heir of Sir Thomas Burnet of Leys."
