"Upon the twenty fifth day of August one thousand eight hundred and three years by the Revd Proff James Kidd minister of the Chapel of Ease in Gilcomstone were lawfully married in the house of John Craig wright in Aberdeen after due proclamation of banns, Daniel Jameson Fish Hook Maker in Aberdeen and Rachel Strachan the daughter of the deceased John Strachan late carrier in Aberdeen in presence of these witnesses William Strachan bookbinder in Aberdeen and Peter Jameson bookmaker there" ¹
