General Notes: In 1881 the census recorded Edward Liness as the head of a household in Dalgliesh Street, Ferry Port on Craig, Fife. The household consisted of Edward and his wife, five of their children, and two grandchildren. Edward was recorded as aged 55 years and born in Ireland. He worked as a general labourer. Medical Notes: A. Veitch MB certified the cause of death. Edward married Mary DUNCAN, daughter of William DUNCAN and Barbara GREIG, on 13 Nov 1848 in Ferry Port On Craig, Fife, Scotland. (Mary DUNCAN was born on 15 Feb 1831 in Ferry Port On Craig, Fife, Scotland 2, christened on 23 Feb 1831 in Ferry Port On Craig, Fife, Scotland and died 18 November 1908 at 11,20 pm in Dalgliesh Street, Ferry Port on Craig, Fife, Scotland 6.). The cause of her death was multiple sarcoma over 4 months. Edward next married James DAVIDSON, son of Alexander DAVIDSON and Mary GLENNIE, after 11 May 1743. (James DAVIDSON was christened on 14 Apr 1805 in Glenbucket Parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland and died after 5 May 1863.) |
