  General Notes:

In his death certificate of 1897, Edward was recorded as aged 67 years, and a china merchant, married to Mary McGinnes (sic). Both of his parents were themselves deceased.

John Liddell MB CM certified the cause of death.

Daniel Quigley, son of the deceased, gave notice of Edward's death before John Pearson, registrar, at Errol on 21 January 1897.

Edward married Mary McINNES, daughter of Donald McINNES and Mary McLEOD, on 29 Apr 1850 in Perth, Perthshire, Scotland.¹ (Mary McINNES was born about 1830 and died after 20 Jan 1897.)

Edward next married Charles McINNES, son of Donald McINNES and Mary McLEOD, on 13 Jun 1768 in Saint Nicholas Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland.^{2 3} (Charles McINNES was born about 1819 in Invernesshire, Scotland ⁵ and died on 12 Mar 1865.)
