Duncan and Mary were married according to the rites of the Roman Catholic Church. The priest who married them was Fr Peter Donnelly. Peter Howie and Rebecca Brannan were the witnesses.

Duncan was a mercantile clerk aged 25 years and unmarried. He lived at 262 Cumberland Street Glasgow.

Mary lived at 46 Butterbiggin Road. She too had not been married before and she was 22 years of age. ¹
