The 1901 census for Glasgow Anderston recorded Patrick Vallely as head of a small household living at 38 Richard Street. In the household was his wife Mary, and a boarder called Joseph Flannigan, a quay labourer. Patrick Vallely was aged 45 years and had been born in Ireland. He worked as a foundry labourer.

When Patrick died in 1924 he was already a widower. According to his death certificate he was a labourer by occupation. ^{1 2}

Patrick married Mary MORTON. (Mary MORTON was born about 1861 in Ireland ² and died before 27 June 1924 ².)
