In her death certificate of 1863, Elspet Glennie was recorded as as being a single oman aged 90 years at the time of her death.

The cause of Elspet's death was not certified.

James Davidson, Elspet Glennie's grand nephew, who had been present where her death occurred, gave notice of her death before William Reid, registrar, at Glenbucket on 5 May 1863.
