  General Notes:

The 1891 census for Glasgow recorded Edward Graham as head of a household living at 123 Stobcross Street. The household consisted of Edward, his wife, and their two daughters. A 16 year old niece, Jane Glen, also lived in the household. In the dwelling there were two rooms that were windowed rooms. Edward was recorded as a rivet maker, born in Glasgow. He was 41 years old.

Edward Graham, who had been present where the death occurred, gave notice of his wife, Mary's death before the registrar at Coatbridge on 5 April 1897.

Edward Graham was recorded by the 1901 census living with his son and daughter at 15 Richard Street, Glasgow. He worked as an iron turner. Born in Glasgow, he was recorded as 45 years of age and was a widower. Two of the rooms of their flat were windowed. 1


Edward married Mary QUIGLEY, daughter of John QUIGLEY and Margaret McGARVEY, on 14 December 1883 in St Patrick's RC Church, Anderston, Glasgow, Scotland.1 (Mary QUIGLEY was born in Londonderry, Ireland 1, baptised on 22 July 1860 in Long Tower RC Parish, County Derry, Ireland 2 and died 4 April 1897 at 10.00 am in 95 Riversbank Street, Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, Scotland 1.)


  Marriage Notes:

The marriage was solemnised according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The priest was Father Thomas Hackett. The witnesses were Charles J. Starkey and Elan Floyd.

Edward Graham, bridegroom, was a widower, aged 34 years. He was a foreman rivetmaker by trade. He lived at 8 Bishop Street, Glasgow. His father was deceased.

Mary Quigley, the bride, was 23 years old and single. She lived at 123 Stobcross Street, Glasgow, and worked as a shirt warehousewoman. Her father was deceased.

The marriage was registered at Anderston, Glasgow on 17 December 1883. 1
