  General Notes:

The 1861 census recorded Thomas Twedely aged 4 years, the youngest of four sons, living with his family at Beith where he had been born. ²

Thomas married Eliza Jane BUTLER on 31 December 1885 in Kilbirnie, Ayrshire, Scotland. (Eliza Jane BUTLER was born about 1859.)

  Marriage Notes:

The marriage was celebrated according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. James Milne, CC, was the officiating priest. The witnesses were John Barbour and Ellen Lennon.

Thomas Quigley, who made his X mark, was a steel work labourer, aged 28 years, of Gilbertfield, Cambuslang. He was unmarried. Both of his parents were deceased.

Eliza Jane Butler, who also made her X mark, resided at Maybole Street, Kilbirnie. She was aged 26 years. Her parents were both living.

The marriage was registered at Kilbirnie on 2 January 1886, Elijah Allan, registrar.
