   Cause of his death was cardiac valvular disease and acute laryngitis.

   Another name for Michael was McGONNIGAL, Michael.2

  General Notes:

In 1891 the census for Cambusnethan, Lanarkshire, recorded Michael, his wife Martha, and their daughter, Martha, living in 28 Wilsons Rows, Marshall Street. His age was noted as 29 years and he had been born in County Derry, Ireland. He worked as a furnace filler.

Michael's son in law, who had been present where the death occurred, was the informant of his death, stating that Michael was a colliery labourer who was married to Martha Taylor. He was 58 years when he died. Both of his parents were dead. 2

  Research Notes:

The spellings of the surname of Michael and his parents are not identical in his death certificate, McGunnigle being used for Michael and McGonnigle for his parents.

  Medical Notes:

John Stewart MB ChB certified the cause of death.

James Rankin, Michael's son in law, of 6 Landale Street Cadzow, notified the registrar, Gavin Frame, of his death at Hamilton on 18 August 1919.


Michael married Martha TAYLOR in 1889 in Renfrewshire, Scotland.1 (Martha TAYLOR was born about 1863 in County Derry, Ireland 2.)
