   Cause of his death was congestion of the brain.

  General Notes:

His death certificate of 1881 gives William's age as 16 years and his occupation as assistant iron puddler. 1

  Medical Notes:

Thomas C. McGown MD certified the cause of death.

The informant was William's uncle, James McNamee who was present where the death occurred. He notified the registrar William Richard at Holytown on 9 August 1881
