McGILL, George
General Notes: George McGill was the informant of the death of his brother in law Michael McNairn in 1898. Research Notes: Apparently, Pender's Row in Baillieston is now 'a garage in Buchanan Street'. George married Margaret McNAIRN, daughter of Robert McINAIRNEY and Susan MURPHY, on 24 October 1874 in St Patrick's RC Church, Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, Scotland. (Margaret McNAIRN was born about 1848 1 and died after 24 October 1874.) Marriage Notes: The marriage was celebrated after banns according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The celebrant was Hubert Van Stipheut CC. The witnesses were Patrick O'Garra who made his X mark, and Anne O'Garra (or O'Garva?). |
