MENZIES, Alexander Thompson
Another name for Alexander was MENZIES, Alex. Noted events in his life were: 1. Military Service: Canadian Oversees Expeditionary Force, 16 March 1916, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Alex Menzies, as he signed himself, stated that he was living at Nanaimo BC. He had been born in Airdrie Scotland on 21 October 1893 and his next of kin was his father James Menzies. He was a single man and worked as a miner. He had served in the Nanaimo Light Infantry, but did not belong to any Active Militia. He was willing to be vaccinated or inoculated. |
