FORREST, Robert

  General Notes:

In 1915 when his daughter, Annie, was born, Robert was recorded in her birth certificate as a shepherd, domicile Westhills, Cathkin, Rutherglen. It was he who informed the registrar, Alex. Wilson, at New Kilpatrick on 27 March 1915.

Robert was a shepherd, according to the marriage certificate of his daughter, Annie, in 1932.

Robert married Mary KERR on 5 June 1914 in Lesser Public Hall, Bearsden, Dunbartonshire, Scotland. (Mary KERR was born about 1890 and died after 4 November 1932.)

  Marriage Notes:

Robert Forrest, a shepherd aged 35 and unmarried, resided at Canniesburn Cottages, New Kilpatrick. Both of his parents were deceased.

Mary Kerr, a 24 year old farm servant, also unmarried, resided at the same address. Both of her parents were living.

They were married by J. A. Dickie MA, Minister of New Kilpatrick. The witnesswes were Robert Gibson and Maggie Kerr. The marriage was registered June 6 1914 at New Kilpatrick, Alex. Wilson being the signing registrar.
