John Haimes, of 23 High Street Hawick was 21 years of age and worked as a journeyman tailor . He was unmarried and had been born and registered on 2 March 1834 at Haddington.

Mary Anderson of 27 High Street Hawick was 21 years old and worked as a domestic servant. She was a spinster. She had been born but not registered on 14 December 1833 at Hawick.

The marriage was registered at Hawick on 9 June 1855, Anthony Dodds being the signing registrar. 3
