The 1911 census for Ireland recorded Margaret Conlin, aged 72 years, living in the townland of Aghakinsallagh Glebe in Tullyniskane, CountyTyrone with her son Terence, aged 33 years, and her daughters Catherine, aged 36 years and Elizabeth aged 34 years. They had all been born in County Tyrone, and all were all Roman Catholics. Terence was a farmer and could not read. The women could all read and write. 4

PRUNTY

The family name of Prunty, or Brunty, can be traced to the Irish clan mac Aedh Proinntigh, which literally means 'son of Aedh, grandson of Proinnteach'. The most famous bearers of this name are probably the literary Bronte family of Haworth.


Margaret married Edward CONLIN, son of Terence CONLON and Eleonor DEVLIN, on 16 September 1862 in Donaghmore Parish, County Tyrone, Ireland.1 (Edward CONLIN was baptised on 20 January 1832 in Dungannon Parish, County Tyrone, Ireland 2 and died before 2 April 1911.)
